Salesforce is a Multitenant Architecture, Scalable Metadata Platform, Enterprise Ecosystem, CRM and Related Functionality and API.
Create a free developer account: It’s a lifetime free account to practice the Salesforce functionalities.
- Step 1: Fill-up the Registration form to Create a New Account.
- Launch the URL : https://developer.salesforce.com/signup
- Enter the Details to Create the Free Developer Account.
- First Name.
- Last Name:
- Email ID : (Valid)
- Enter the Company Name:
- Select the Designation / Title from the Picklist.
- Select the Country Name from the Picklist.
- Enter the Postal Code:
- Enter the UserName: (In Email Id format)
- Click on “Submit” button.
It will create a New Salesforce Account, by allocating the memory for the organization. And it will send the Account Activation link to the specified email id.
- Step 2: Activate the Salesforce Account.
- Open the Email Account (Ex: Gmail)
- Open the Email received from Salesforce
- Click on “Verify Account” button.
- Enter the “Password, Confirm Password, Security Question and Answer”.
- Click on “Reset Password” button.
It will reset the user password and will re-direct the user to the Salesforce Account.
Salesforce provides a collection of objects by default, to be used to store the application specific data.
Examples: Campaign, Lead, Account, Contact, Opportunity,….etc.
To manage the records inside the Objects, Salesforce provides a set of graphical interfaces called “Tabs”. Using Tab, we can do different operations like INSERT, UPDATE, VIEW, DELETE, UNDELETE, MERGE on the Object records.
